Southern Tasmanian Junior Football Association (STJFA)

The STJFA was formed. It was during this early period of changes to the face of football, that the reference ‘Junior’ referred to second tier competitions. There was no junior football as we know it today.

Southern Tasmanian Junior Football Association Clubs

The STJFA (second tier competition) was made-up of clubs : Fitzroy Imperials, Union, Glenorchy, Union Jack, West Hobart and North Hobart.

Southern Tasmanian Junior Football Association

Excelsior, formerly Hobart Central premiers, Crescent and Brisbane Rovers who were introduced when Collingwood disbanded.

Southern Tasmanian Junior Football Association No. 1 Division

Clubs: Excelsoir premiers, Standfast runner-up, Crescent.

Southern Tasmanian Junior Football Association No. 2 Division

Clubs: St George premiers, Excelsoir Juniors runner-up, North Hobart Juniors, Standfast Juniors, Crescent Juniors, Trinity.

Southern Tasmanian Junior Football Association.

This competition played for the Scott Shield with teams from Standfast, captain L. Turner and premiers that year, North Hobart were runner-up and captained by N. Mc Williams, Glebe, whose captain was ? Hallam, Excelsior and captained by A. Westwood and C. Jones.
